Activities of the KPD Israeli Club (Revised January 8, 2008)
(The principal activities are underlined.)
A. Fellowship :
1. Enjoy social activities together such as bowling, parties, picnics, dances, etc.
2. Meet, serve, study, pray, and play together.
3. Form friendships that may last a lifetime.
B. Israel :
1. Advocate for a safe, secure, and prosperous Jewish State.
2. Support peaceful means of negotiating with the Palestinian Arabs.
3. Attend Israel related forums or workshops.
5. Support the Israel on Campus Coalition .
6. Take part in Birthright Israel and Co-op in Israel.
C. Judaism :
1. Explore and celebrate one’s Jewish identity.
2. Participate in Drexel Hillel's Shabbat services and dinners, See Drexel Hillel Calendar of Events.
3. Attend Drexel Judaic Studies Seminars.
4. Enroll in Drexel Judaic Studies Program classes.
D. Leadership :
1. Learn leadership skills in Office of Campus Activities (OCA) classes.
2. Practice leadership skills in a campus organization.
3. Enroll in the Maimonides Leaders Fellowship program.
E. Commitment :
1. Commit to marry Jewish and to raise your children Jewish.
F. Service : (Options)
To Drexel :
1. Usher at Drexel functions.
To the Philadelphia Jewish Community :
1. Package/deliver food to the needy from the Jewish Relief Agency (JRA) Pantry,
2. Deliver challah to an ill person at a hospital.
3. Donate blood to the Children’s Hospital.
4. Be a para-chaplain to an ill person.
5. Tutor a high school student at Drexel.
6. Display Israeli culture to the Drexel community.
7. Perform Mitzvah Mania with the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia. See Federation .
